Because we usually travel in the off season, this is necessary as most establishments are shuttered and WCs are almost always locked. So now I kind of just watch out for opportunities. I was somewhat disgusted at the time but I wouldn’t be anymore some thirty years later. Everyone simply walked into the field and respectfully averted eyes from their neighbours bottoms or fronts in order to relieve themselves. On a long bus ride with a load of say 50 passengers, the driver pulled over next to an open field and indicated this was to be our pee break. Likely the most understandable culture in which I have travelled in this regard was in Nepal. Hubby too but understandably his equipment allows for offloading without baring his bottom. ![]() ![]() ![]() So, I have come up with ways to let it out in pretty much plain sight. And no, I will not be paying money for an unwanted drink or some such in order to tinkle. Something that completely miffs me is the city town or village with nary a spot to empty one’s bladder.
